if so, that man noah must surely have had some faith in the critter that told him to build it.. the wise thing would surely to have built a small scale model just to be sure the thing was going to float.

Whats with all the stupid queries about Noah and the Ark all of sudden ?

People in ancient times had almost nothing to do in their leisure time so they told stories to

one and another, since they already believed that there was an almighty God up in the sky,

stories revolving around the easily angered, vindictive and violent god headlined most of the them.

The ironic thing about this whole situation is people thousands of years further on are still reading these stories and mostly are believing in them.

And that really is a story in itself.

Luke 21:8 and the latest 2008 WT Library

i was perusing the latest 2008 wt library and i ran a search for luke 21:8 (one of the worst texts you could read to a jw).

when i first ran the search, the library only popped up with one article from 11/1/64 wt and a reference to some book called the kingdom of god is nigh (published by the wt in 1944, but is not found on the cd.

i did find it on the internet, though.).

You see folks even in those days there were false misleading so called prophets, the most significant difference between

those ancient false prophets and the more modern ones is the ancient ones were more intent on culling believers to position

themselves with the almighty and insert their will upon them, on the other hand the modern ones want the power too but they also want

the commercial rights to exploit Armageddon and the end times to make financial profits just like the WTS. have done.

So the marketable difference between the two should be seen as another almighty and that is this $ .

i never have liked this guy even in the earliest part of his career when he strutted on stage with leggings on and screamed.

I actually saw him perform in concert back in the mid 80's, my brother and myself were involved with a band back then

so we wanted to really see what all the hype was all about. There were a lot of stage theatrics and props and his performance musically

was good for what it was but I got the feeling he intensionally separated himself from the audience, like they weren't even there at all,

which was a put off. I was also surprised on how many young almost pre-teen girls were there, his music seemed more mature than what you'd

expect young girls to appreciate, with his R rated lyrics and such.

It must be his extra special SEXUALITY .... hou hou ...ya ya

There's no argument that there is talent but how its presented is disturbing,

well at least to me and I'm no right wing conservative by a long shot.

I get the impression that its a little man's show trying his darnedest to look bigger than he is.

A queer playing hard rock looks out of place.

Sorry but when I see a guy wearing gold satin pants and high heels with diamonds encrusted in both ears , it just turns me off,

JWS or not.

When you see an artist over extending his appearance it usually means their writing ability isn't what it used to be,

therefore the extra hype and push of the material.

Well at least he's going to attract a lot of the gay community.

like his material can't stand on its own merit to equate the quality of the songs.

His JWS hair cut and make up he uses now makes him look really queer, more so than ever before if that was possible.

having been in the organization for some 30 years and only having been inactive for the best part of a year, it's hard to forget my past, as much as i hated it.. i wish i had never been a dub.

it's left a permanent stain on my life.. i'm having to start a completely new life and it's hard to know where to start.

i know i have it in me, but sometimes things hold me back.

except the fact that I have family that are still in, an unfortunate aggravation. Thats some of the reason that I've

i wasn't sure whether to put this in scandals or beliefs and practices.

it could easily go in either.. this topic has been discussed plenty of times.

it seems to me that this is a much bigger problem in the jws than most people realize.

More power over his wife and family , the social morals of the ancients were so loving, caring and responsible weren't they ?

Woman were always seen as second class observant and obedient slaves to their husbands back in those days ,

hell they weren't even allowed to worship in the temples.
